Using
a "rag"
If
you are having problems on your first row of knitting, (ie., when using
the G-carriage), use a "rag" instead of waste yarn. A rag can be made in
various ways.
It is a wonderful way to use those
swatches! Simply hang a row of the swatch over the number of needles you
will be using. Use as many swatches as needed. Knit a row of
ravel cord and then you are ready to begin your project. You can
now hang your cast on comb, weights or whatever into the
