Hat:
Leave a yarn tail for seaming and e-wrap CO over L62-R62.
Hang CO comb and 3 weights.
RC000, T4, K20R. Place marker on each side. T5, K to
RC062.
Top
Shaping: *Remove piece on WY or garter bar and
rehang, doubling on all ndls. K2R* (62 sts).
- Repeat from *to*
(31 sts).
- Remove piece and
rehang on 16 ndls, K2R
- Rehang on 8 ndls,
K1R.
- Rehang on 4 ndls,
K1R. 4 sts remain. Push
in Right Part Button (to knit I-cord). K25R. Dec to 2 sts,
K2R. Dec to 1 st, BO.
Finishing:
Run yarn
tail on top down through center of I-cord.
I tie a knot towards top end of I-cord, but this is optional.
Clip yarn tail below the knot. Seam on the wrong side
from bottom up to within 4 rows from marker. Finish seaming on
right side. You may steam lightly, if you like, but do NOT
steam over the rolled up brim!
