Hi!  My name is Clint,  and I live in Gig Harbor, Washington.

I was born in Beaufort, South Carolina, in 1974.  As you can see from this picture, I was simply "too cute" for words when I was a wee young thing!  I was then, and still am, the apple of my Mom, Carol's, eye!

I was only two weeks old the first time I went for a ride in our motor boat, and I hummed right along with the engine noise as we made our way across the water.  

Through my life, I've been known by different nicknames like Little Hummer, Clinty Pooh, Chipmunk Cheeks, Mommy's Best Pal, and Daddy's Big Boy.

 

I was on my way to being a boy genius, because before I was even two years old, I already knew all the letters of the alphabet and could read them out of the newspaper.  I could count up to 60, and I was a real "whiz" when it came to puzzles.  I could even turn them over and put them together from the back side!  

Unfortunately, when I was only 26 months old, the doctors discovered that I had a brain tumor (left temporal lobe astrocytoma), so I was in the hospital in Charleston, South Carolina, for 60 days while they did surgery and radiation to help me get well.  The radiation caused me not to progress past about a 2 1/2-4 year old level, so while I continued to amaze all the adults with my ability to do puzzles, I was never able to learn to read or write like other boys and girls.
